RENALA KHURD: Three dacoits were killed in a police encounter last night on Sunday near Chak No 20/2-L. Police said that the dacoits were engaged in looting passersby while putting barricade at road near Chak No 20/2-L and 1/1-L. On information, city and saddar police reached the site. After seeing police, dacoits opened indiscriminate firing and the police in retaliation opted to fire in self-defense as a result three dacoits killed on spot while three others fled from the scene. The police also recovered looted cash, cell phones, precious items and weapons from the site. Meanwhile, the police claimed that the dacoits were killed by the firing of their accomplices.
